To the people across the pond
Man, time is such a strange, cruel device. It can make us abhor our mere existence. Or it can make you realize just how fleeting life (and all that it encompasses) is. Take my study abroad experience. It has been the greatest experiences of my life, yet, less than a week from now I'll be gone. What will life be like after this? Is there life after study abroad? Now, the list of things I'll miss the most when I leave here.
Greggs (awesome place for cheap good food)
Aeroball (best sport ever)
Drinking like it's my job
Class so fake it makes the thought of UPS intimidating to return to
A single room
Dance clubs- The Carleton in particular
Friends and people I've met
Easy access to travel the world
...as I start listing I realize I could go on forever, so I'll just stop. Here is my conundrum. How I can deny you these and other opportunities? You deserve to see and do what I have, because it's something you'll never forget (and certainly won't regret). However, being selfish, I could never tell a friend to leave for a semester. I won't say you should study abroad...but well, you should. It's kind of a somber mood in my room right now, and this weak audioslave ballad isn't helping. In conclusion, here are all the places outside of England I have been to.
Dublin
Edinburgh
Amsterdam x2
Paris
Geneva
Chaminox, France
Cinque Terre (Italian Riviera)
Florence
Rome
Pisa
Zurich
Munich
and still to come...
Greece
Hungry
Wow, I am the shit.
